# Crew Call vs Live Timecode Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Live Timecode Notes at 4.4 against Crew Call's 4.0. Live Timecode Notes also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Crew Call's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 60%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crew Call sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $69.99 per year and Live Timecode Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Live Timecode Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Crew Call's written reviews are positive against 60% of Live Timecode Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crew Call ships an update monthly, Live Timecode Notes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
