# Fossil vs Snapback

The clearest difference is update cadence: Snapback at every 3 days against Fossil's every 8 days. Fossil's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fossil sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Snapback sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fossil ships an update every 8 days, Snapback every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
