# Ostrich VPN vs Secure VPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secure VPN at weekly against Ostrich VPN's every 6 weeks. Ostrich VPN's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 409) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ostrich VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Secure VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ostrich VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ostrich VPN has 24K ratings behind it against 409, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Ostrich VPN's written reviews are positive against 82% of Secure VPN's.

Ostrich VPN ships an update every 6 weeks, Secure VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
