# RC FPV vs Snaptain View

The clearest difference is ads: Snaptain View at none against RC FPV's shown. Snaptain View also leads on rating (2.6 vs 2.4) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). RC FPV's advantage is ratings volume (504 vs 16) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Snaptain View holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC FPV has 504 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of RC FPV's written reviews are positive against 0% of Snaptain View's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RC FPV ships an update every 4 weeks, Snaptain View every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
