# Cursa vs OpenAcademy

The clearest difference is rating: Cursa at 4.8 against OpenAcademy's 2.0. Cursa also leads on ratings volume (6.4K vs 1). OpenAcademy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cursa sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and OpenAcademy sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cursa holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cursa has 6.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Cursa's written reviews are positive against 100% of OpenAcademy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cursa ships an update every 3 months, OpenAcademy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
