# Widgetly vs Lively Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lively Widget at 78% against Widgetly's 30%. Widgetly's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and rating (4.1 vs 3.8). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgetly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lively Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widgetly holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 40 and 37 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Widgetly's written reviews are positive against 78% of Lively Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widgetly ships an update daily, Lively Widget monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
