# Diary Card vs HanExams

The clearest difference is ads: HanExams at none against Diary Card's shown. HanExams also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary Card sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and HanExams sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diary Card ships an update every 5 weeks, HanExams every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
