# 开卦™ vs 八字

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 八字 at none against 开卦™'s 12. 开卦™'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 开卦™ sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. 八字 asks for nothing beyond the download.

开卦™ ships an update every 2 weeks, 八字 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
