# Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers vs Lively Widget

The clearest difference is rating: Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers at 4.5 against Lively Widget's 3.9. Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (4.1K vs 40). Lively Widget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 46%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Lively Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers has 4.1K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers's written reviews are positive against 78% of Lively Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widgets, Themes & Wallpapers ships an update every 5 days, Lively Widget monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
