# Widget Maker vs Hilltoppers

The clearest difference is rating: Hilltoppers at 5.0 against Widget Maker's 4.3. Hilltoppers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Widget Maker's advantage is ratings volume (167 vs 6) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hilltoppers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widget Maker has 167 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Widget Maker ships an update every 4 days, Hilltoppers every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
