# WidgetDaily vs Widgetal

WidgetDaily and Widgetal both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of WidgetDaily's written reviews are positive against 21% of Widgetal's. WidgetDaily also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). Widgetal's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (589 vs 10). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WidgetDaily sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Widgetal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WidgetDaily holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgetal has 589 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of WidgetDaily's written reviews are positive against 21% of Widgetal's.

WidgetDaily ships an update every 2 days, Widgetal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
