# WidgetDaily vs Shiplet

The clearest difference is ads: Shiplet at none against WidgetDaily's shown. WidgetDaily's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WidgetDaily sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shiplet sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WidgetDaily ships an update every 2 days, Shiplet every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
