# LikeRead vs 1001Novel

The clearest difference is ads: LikeRead at none against 1001Novel's shown. LikeRead also leads on ratings volume (352 vs 15) and review sentiment (23% vs 14%). 1001Novel's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LikeRead sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and 1001Novel sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

1001Novel holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LikeRead has 352 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of LikeRead's written reviews are positive against 14% of 1001Novel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LikeRead ships an update every 3 weeks, 1001Novel fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
