# LikeRead vs TopStories

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TopStories at 88% against LikeRead's 23%. TopStories also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.1). LikeRead's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (352 vs 45). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LikeRead sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and TopStories sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TopStories holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LikeRead has 352 ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of LikeRead's written reviews are positive against 88% of TopStories's.
