# Special Dates vs Did I Do?

The clearest difference is update cadence: Did I Do? at every 2 weeks against Special Dates's every 3 months. Did I Do? also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (84 vs 5). Special Dates's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (61% vs 46%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Special Dates sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Did I Do? sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Did I Do? holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Did I Do? has 84 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Special Dates's written reviews are positive against 46% of Did I Do?'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Special Dates ships an update every 3 months, Did I Do? every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
