# Special Dates vs PushHard

The clearest difference is rating: PushHard at 5.0 against Special Dates's 4.0. PushHard also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 61%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Special Dates's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Special Dates sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and PushHard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PushHard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Special Dates has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Special Dates's written reviews are positive against 100% of PushHard's.

Special Dates ships an update every 3 months, PushHard every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
