# Ping vs Basis

The clearest difference is rating: Basis at 5.0 against Ping's 3.7. Basis also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Ping's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ping sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.19 per month. Basis asks for nothing beyond the download.

Basis holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ping has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
