# Icon Changer vs Icon Changer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Icon Changer at free with in-app purchases against Icon Changer's subscription. Icon Changer also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 45%). Icon Changer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Icon Changer sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Icon Changer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Icon Changer against 4.4 for Icon Changer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Icon Changer has 7.5K ratings behind it against 240, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Icon Changer's written reviews are positive against 45% of Icon Changer's.

Icon Changer ships an update every 2 months, Icon Changer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
