# Waveful vs Skadoodle

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Skadoodle at none against Waveful's 22. Skadoodle also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). Waveful's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.5). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waveful sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Skadoodle asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Waveful against 5.0 for Skadoodle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waveful has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
