# Writing Space vs Write A Book

The clearest difference is rating: Write A Book at 5.0 against Writing Space's 4.4. Write A Book also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Writing Space's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 26.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writing Space sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Write A Book sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Write A Book holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writing Space has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Writing Space ships an update monthly, Write A Book every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
