# Active Pause vs Stretchly

The clearest difference is ads: Stretchly at none against Active Pause's shown. Stretchly also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). Active Pause's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Active Pause sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Stretchly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stretchly holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stretchly has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Active Pause ships an update every 2 months, Stretchly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
