# Comics Bob vs Snake Troll

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Comics Bob at none against Snake Troll's 7. Comics Bob also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (55K vs 240). Snake Troll's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 35%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snake Troll sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Comics Bob asks for nothing beyond the download.

Comics Bob holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comics Bob has 55K ratings behind it against 240, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Comics Bob's written reviews are positive against 52% of Snake Troll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comics Bob ships an update monthly, Snake Troll every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
