# Aesthetic Kit vs Lock Widget

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lock Widget at none against Aesthetic Kit's 24. Lock Widget also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 25%). Aesthetic Kit's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (126K vs 7). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aesthetic Kit sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Lock Widget asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aesthetic Kit holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aesthetic Kit has 126K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Aesthetic Kit's written reviews are positive against 50% of Lock Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aesthetic Kit ships an update monthly, Lock Widget every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
