# DNSecure vs DNS Button

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DNSecure at none against DNS Button's 1. DNSecure also leads on ratings volume (109 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). DNS Button's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DNS Button sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. DNSecure asks for nothing beyond the download.

DNS Button holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DNSecure has 109 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of DNSecure's written reviews are positive against 100% of DNS Button's.

DNSecure ships an update every 3 months, DNS Button daily. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
