# MagicWidgets vs Widgets Pro

The clearest difference is rating: MagicWidgets at 4.7 against Widgets Pro's 4.1. MagicWidgets also leads on ratings volume (7.3K vs 41) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Widgets Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and review sentiment (50% vs 35%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MagicWidgets sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Widgets Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

MagicWidgets holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MagicWidgets has 7.3K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of MagicWidgets's written reviews are positive against 50% of Widgets Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MagicWidgets ships an update fortnightly, Widgets Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
