# Positive Affirmations Widget vs Countdown

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Countdown at 82% against Positive Affirmations Widget's 38%. Countdown also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 57). Positive Affirmations Widget's advantage is update cadence (daily vs weekly) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Positive Affirmations Widget sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 3.1K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of Positive Affirmations Widget's written reviews are positive against 82% of Countdown's.

Positive Affirmations Widget ships an update daily, Countdown weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
