# Hidgets vs Echo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Echo at 100% against Hidgets's 45%. Echo also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.3). Hidgets's advantage is ratings volume (170 vs 4) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidgets sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Echo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Echo holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hidgets has 170 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Hidgets's written reviews are positive against 100% of Echo's.

Hidgets ships an update weekly, Echo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
