# Brandy Melville US vs Subdued

The clearest difference is ads: Subdued at none against Brandy Melville US's shown. Subdued also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 61%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Brandy Melville US's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 154) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Brandy Melville US holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brandy Melville US has 15K ratings behind it against 154, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Brandy Melville US's written reviews are positive against 75% of Subdued's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
