# Drive Logger vs TextPort

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Drive Logger at none against TextPort's 26. Drive Logger also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). TextPort's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 15) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextPort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Drive Logger asks for nothing beyond the download.

TextPort holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextPort has 1.5K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Drive Logger's written reviews are positive against 61% of TextPort's.

Drive Logger ships an update weekly, TextPort every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
