# Quotes Widgets vs Transparent Widget

The clearest difference is rating: Transparent Widget at 3.7 against Quotes Widgets's 3.0. Transparent Widget also leads on ratings volume (51 vs 1). Quotes Widgets's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quotes Widgets sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Transparent Widget sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Transparent Widget holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transparent Widget has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Quotes Widgets's written reviews are positive against 46% of Transparent Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quotes Widgets ships an update fortnightly, Transparent Widget every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
