# Scribblet vs Calculator Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scribblet at every 3 days against Calculator Widget's every 10 days. Scribblet also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scribblet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Calculator Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scribblet holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 202 and 100 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Scribblet's written reviews are positive against 53% of Calculator Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scribblet ships an update every 3 days, Calculator Widget every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
