# Tiny PDF Toolbox・Merge & Split vs Merge files PDF

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tiny PDF Toolbox・Merge & Split at 67% against Merge files PDF's 26%. Merge files PDF's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 13 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny PDF Toolbox・Merge & Split sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Merge files PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Merge files PDF holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merge files PDF has 339 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Tiny PDF Toolbox・Merge & Split's written reviews are positive against 26% of Merge files PDF's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tiny PDF Toolbox・Merge & Split ships an update every 13 months, Merge files PDF every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
