# ESET HOME vs Orrin

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Orrin at 100% against ESET HOME's 48%. Orrin also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). ESET HOME's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orrin sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. ESET HOME asks for nothing beyond the download.

ESET HOME holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESET HOME has 3.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of ESET HOME's written reviews are positive against 100% of Orrin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ESET HOME ships an update every 2 months, Orrin every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
