# Fair VPN vs Leaf VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fair VPN at none against Leaf VPN's 2. Fair VPN also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 389). Leaf VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leaf VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Fair VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fair VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 389 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Fair VPN's written reviews are positive against 58% of Leaf VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fair VPN ships an update monthly, Leaf VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
