# RIAS vs PetLog

The clearest difference is ads: RIAS at none against PetLog's shown. PetLog's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (16 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RIAS ships an update every 4 months, PetLog every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
