# The vs The Bin

The clearest difference is monetization model: The Bin at free against The's ad-supported. The's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and device support. On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for The against 5.0 for The Bin. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The ships an update every 7 months, The Bin every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
