# StudyCards vs AI Flash Cards Maker

The clearest difference is monetization model: StudyCards at free with in-app purchases against AI Flash Cards Maker's subscription. StudyCards also leads on iOS requirement (16.1 vs 26.0). AI Flash Cards Maker's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudyCards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AI Flash Cards Maker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Flash Cards Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 85 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of StudyCards's written reviews are positive against 54% of AI Flash Cards Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StudyCards ships an update every 2 weeks, AI Flash Cards Maker every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
