# Ryder Cup vs Shot Pattern

Ryder Cup and Shot Pattern both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Shot Pattern's written reviews are positive against 20% of Ryder Cup's. Shot Pattern also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Ryder Cup's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ratings volume (13K vs 2.1K). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Pattern sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Ryder Cup asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Ryder Cup against 4.8 for Shot Pattern. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ryder Cup has 13K ratings behind it against 2.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of Ryder Cup's written reviews are positive against 67% of Shot Pattern's.

Ryder Cup ships an update fortnightly, Shot Pattern every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
