# Ryder Cup vs MatchPlay

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MatchPlay at 100% against Ryder Cup's 20%. MatchPlay also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Ryder Cup's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (13K vs 4). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MatchPlay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Ryder Cup asks for nothing beyond the download.

MatchPlay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ryder Cup has 13K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Ryder Cup's written reviews are positive against 100% of MatchPlay's.

Ryder Cup ships an update fortnightly, MatchPlay weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
