# Device Tracker vs Bluetooth Device Finder

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bluetooth Device Finder at freemium against Device Tracker's subscription. Bluetooth Device Finder also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Device Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Bluetooth Device Finder sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bluetooth Device Finder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Tracker has 37K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Device Tracker ships an update every 6 weeks, Bluetooth Device Finder fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
