# DAMA vs Blur Text

DAMA and Blur Text both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of DAMA's written reviews are positive against 20% of Blur Text's. DAMA also leads on ratings volume (178 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAMA sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Blur Text sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for DAMA against 4.7 for Blur Text. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DAMA has 178 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of DAMA's written reviews are positive against 20% of Blur Text's.

DAMA ships an update every 5 days, Blur Text every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
