# Next Widget vs Widgetal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Next Widget at 89% against Widgetal's 21%. Next Widget also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). Widgetal's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (589 vs 68). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Next Widget sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and Widgetal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Next Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgetal has 589 ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two.
