# METAR Widgets vs Risetide

The clearest difference is rating: Risetide at 5.0 against METAR Widgets's 3.8. Risetide also leads on price ($0.99 vs $2.99). METAR Widgets's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 2) and chart position (#120 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

METAR Widgets costs $2.99 and Risetide $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Risetide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: METAR Widgets has 49 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
