# Cards Out! vs The Firstborn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cards Out! at 100% against The Firstborn's 63%. The Firstborn's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cards Out! sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and The Firstborn sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Firstborn holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cards Out!'s written reviews are positive against 63% of The Firstborn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cards Out! ships an update monthly, The Firstborn every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
