# TodaysList vs JotDay

The clearest difference is monetization model: TodaysList at free against JotDay's freemium. TodaysList also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). JotDay's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 76%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TodaysList sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and JotDay sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JotDay holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 21 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of TodaysList's written reviews are positive against 86% of JotDay's.

TodaysList ships an update fortnightly, JotDay monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
