# Learn to Read vs Augie Learn AR

The clearest difference is rating: Learn to Read at 4.7 against Augie Learn AR's 3.4. Learn to Read also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (78K vs 5). Augie Learn AR's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn to Read sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.49 per month and Augie Learn AR sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Learn to Read holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn to Read has 78K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Learn to Read's written reviews are positive against 100% of Augie Learn AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Learn to Read ships an update every 6 days, Augie Learn AR every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
