# Fun Widget vs Widget Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fun Widget at 83% against Widget Pro's 0%. Fun Widget also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (25 vs 2). Widget Pro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fun Widget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Widget Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widget Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fun Widget has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Fun Widget's written reviews are positive against 0% of Widget Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fun Widget ships an update fortnightly, Widget Pro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
