# Widget Maker vs Magic Fluids

The clearest difference is rating: Magic Fluids at 4.6 against Widget Maker's 3.9. Magic Fluids also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 14). Widget Maker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Fluids sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Widget Maker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Magic Fluids holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Fluids has 3.4K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Widget Maker's written reviews are positive against 48% of Magic Fluids's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widget Maker ships an update every 11 days, Magic Fluids every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
