# SPEEDRAW vs Pastela

The clearest difference is rating: Pastela at 4.6 against SPEEDRAW's 3.6. Pastela also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (87% vs 65%). SPEEDRAW's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPEEDRAW sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pastela sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pastela holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pastela has 98 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of SPEEDRAW's written reviews are positive against 87% of Pastela's.

SPEEDRAW ships an update every 6 months, Pastela every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
