# OEYES vs UP NYC

The clearest difference is rating: UP NYC at 4.8 against OEYES's 3.8. UP NYC also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). OEYES's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UP NYC holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UP NYC has 4.3K ratings behind it against 284, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of OEYES's written reviews are positive against 74% of UP NYC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OEYES ships an update every 4 weeks, UP NYC every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
